Poine isn't looking to be a hero. She's got a tower, a library of books, and an abundant supply of food. What self respecting dragon would give that up?
But one stormy day a knight comes crawling in her tower window - and Poine learns her tower is supposed to be the home of a princess. A girl who she's never seen hide or hair of, and certainly didn't eat.
Eager to prove her own innocence - or at least get rid of the knight - she agrees to try and find this princess. After all, it should be easy one quest, one time, and she can go back to sleeping through rainy days and eating her own weight in chicken.
But the road is longer than anticipated, and both the knight and the dragon have their secrets...

This is so lovely! It's so sweet and endearing. The chemistry between the adorable Alexis and the grumpy Poine is palpable and electric, and had me laughing out loud from the very beginning. It's rare to find a wlw story in a fantasy setting that is so light-hearted, and this does an absolutely wonderful job of keeping the (literal) magic alive while also keeping a smile on your face. I genuinely cannot wait to see what the author writes next.Product details

A lively read with knights and curses and a very stubborn dragon; that is, all the best in life. So witty that highlighting is pointless (I tried and gave up when every other line caught my eye or made me laugh) and far too fun to set down. Love!
and I was not disappointed. It's a short and sweet story about wlw princesses and dragons, well-written and thoughtful and I'd heartily recommend it to anyone into that kind of thing.
This is a fast and fun read. It's a quirky tale of knights, dragons and a little magic. It's suitable for the young and young at heart.
Good story, love figuring it out as it went along. You can guess some of the things happening before they do but not all of them.
It was too short though, I would have been happy with twice its legnth.
Excellent ff novella. Really cute. The characters and dialog was quirky and adorable. The whole thing made me smile from beginning to end.
This was a great read! Lots of cute and funny moments and the characters were super cool I can't decide on who I love more Poine the lazy dragon who just wants to read and stay in the tower of convenience or Alexis, the reasonably suspicious knight who's just trying so hard to finish her quest. Super fun to read curled up in bed, I can't stop smiling from it
It was truly a great read. From my stand point of having read and enjoyed many stories in the genre. I knew the ending. But rad on with much enjoyment!
